Introduction

With Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft gives us the ability to provide Microsoft Office desktop software to our users. Each user account is allowed 5 installations.  Going forward, International Field Staff have access to the latest version of Office on any machine they choose to install it on.  All staff members, both US and International Field Staff, have the ability to install these Office applications on personal machines as well full access to Office for Mobile Devices, including the ability to edit your documents on-the-go.

Employees with computers provided by and supported by Heifer Tech Support have Office applications pre-installed. 

Installing Office Suite

First Things First

• Uninstall any existing versions of Office
• Run Windows Update and verify Windows is fully updated

How to Install Office Suite On PC

1. Open https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx
2. Login to Office 365 using your HeiferID
3. Select your Language
4. Click Install

Note: Office 32-bit is downloaded by default.  Do not download 64-bit as it has been known to cause incompatibility with Heifer’s systems.

How to Install Office Suite on Mac

1. Open https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx
2. Login to Office 365 using your HeiferID
3. Click Install
