How to Clear Internet Browser Caches



Chrome Clear Cache

Firefox Clear Cache
Internet Explorer Clear Cache
Safari Clear Cache

Chrome Clear Cache

  1. Open Chrome and do one of the following:
  • From  the Menu  button in the upper-right corner of the Chrome window, choose More Tools > Clear browsing data
  • Press CTRL Shift Delete keys in Windows or Linux, or Command Shift Delete keys on Mac OS.



 

  1. Under the Clear the following items from drop down menu, select the beginning of time unless otherwise applicable. Select Cached images and files if it isn't already selected by default and uncheck all other options to avoid deleting browser history, cookies and other options you may wish to retain.
    Please Note: For Laserfiche-related log-in and form issues, select/check to also clear Cookies and other site data .

  2. Then, click CLEAR BROWSING DATA button and Chrome will clear your cache.


     

 

  1. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.


Firefox Clear Cache

  1. From the History menu in the Firefox browser, select Clear Recent History . Note: If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible. You can also press the shortcut CTRL Shift Delete keys in Windows or Linux, or Command Shift Delete keys on MacOS.





  2. From the Time range to clear drop-down menu, select Everything unless otherwise applicable.
  3. Next to Details , click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear. Select Cache to clear and uncheck all other options you may wish to retain such as browser history, cookies, and other options.
    Please Note: For Laserfiche-related log-in and form issues, select/check to also clear Cookies and Offline Site Data.
  4. Click Clear Now .




  5. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Internet Explorer Clear Cache

  1. From the Internet Explorer menu bar if visible, select Tools > Delete browsing history or via the gear icon in the upper-right corner, select Tools > Safety > Delete browsing history... or press the shortcut keys CTRL Shift Delete keys in Windows or Linux, or Command Shift Delete keys on Mac OS.



  2. Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and all other options you may wish to retain such as browser history, cookies, and other options. Check Temporary Internet Files and click Delete .
    Please Note: For Laserfiche-related log-in and form issues, select/check to also clear Cookies and website data.




 

  1. You will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.

     

 

  1. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Safari Clear Cache

  1. In the upper right hand corner, click on Safari > Preferences .




  2. In the Preferences window, click the Privacy tab. Then, click Manage Website Data...


     
  1. Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears as shown below:

 


 

  1. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.
